Sister Patricia “Pat” Reno, formerly known as Sister Mary Dennine, died April 5 in Louisville, Kentucky, at the age of 86. She was an Adrian Dominican Sister for over 65 years and served for 13 years as director of financial services at St. Joseph’s Villa in Richmond.
A native of Detroit, Michigan, Sister Patricia graduated from Barry University with a bachelor’s degree in history, later obtaining a master’s degree in management from Creighton University.
In addition to her service as a financial director at St. Joseph’s Villa from 1979-1992, she used her skills in business, finance and education to serve many Catholic institutions around the country.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Madeline (LeGere) Reno, and two brothers, Michel Reno and William Reno. She is survived by a brother, Dennis Reno, and four sisters: Madeline Reno (Paul Weber), Kathleen Payette (Thomas), Teresa Hayes (Patrick), and Molly Reno.
A funeral Mass was offered April 17 at the Adrian Dominican Sisters mother house in Adrian, Michigan.
