Deacon Henry Felix Vinklarek, Jr. – who served at Holy Comforter, Charlottesville – passed away June 24 at the age of 73.
Deacon Vinklarek graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in mechanical engineering. He was ordained a deacon in 2017 in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.
He served as a deacon for three years at Holy Comforter.
He is survived by his wife, Alicia Melancon Vinklarek; stepsons, Coby Savona, Jr. and Travis Cole (Lauren); brother, Steve Vinklarek (Debbie); sister, Cynthia Vinklarek Dickson (Greg); brother-in-law, Raymond Melancon (Sandra); and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
His funeral was held July 3 at St. Ignatius of Loyola in Spring, Texas. On July 13, the memorial of St. Henry, a requiem Mass will be held at Holy Comforter by the pastor, Father Joseph Mary.
