May crowning at St. Joseph, Petersburg: Bishop Barry C. Knestout joined Father Gino Rossi, pastor, as well as the students and parishioners of St. Joseph, Petersburg, for a May crowning of Mary on Tuesday, May 6. They started with a procession from St. Joseph School to the parish, with students carrying baskets of flowers to adorn a statue of the Blessed Mother. Following the procession and May crowning, Bishop Knestout celebrated Mass for the St. Joseph community.
Child and Youth Protection Conference: Bishop Barry C. Knestout was one of the featured speakers at this year’s Child and Youth Protection Catholic Leadership Conference, held May 11-14 in Clearwater Beach, Florida, in the Diocese of Saint Petersburg.
Bishop Knestout is the chairman of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee on the Protection of Children and Young People. More than 300 people who have roles in Safe Environment and victim assistance programs across the country attended the conference.
