Students look towards the heavens
Across the diocese, students put on their protective glasses to view the solar eclipse the afternoon of April 8, 2024.
At St. Matthew’s School, (above and right), kindergarten through eighth grade students had an eclipse viewing party. More than 400 students, 30 teachers and assistents, ten other staff members, and approximately 100 parents gathered outside with the special safety glasses.
At Christ the King School, Norfolk, school chaplain Father Joe Wamala (below left) and about 110 students (below right) were outside for the event.
