In Memoriam: Sister Anne Marie Mack

Sister Anne Marie Mack, a member of the Congregation of Bon Secours who served many years in Richmond, died on March 31 at the age of 76. Her funeral Mass was celebrated April 10 in Marriottsville, Maryland.

After professing her vows in 1978, the Philadelphia native served for many years as a nurse at Bon Secours Hospital in Grosse Point, Michigan, eventually serving as president of the board of Bon Secours Hospital of Michigan.

Later, she would serve as president of the Sisters of Bons Secours USA for eight years. In 2005, she was appointed vice president of Mission for two hospitals in Richmond, and most recently served as vice president of Sponsorship for the Bon Secours Richmond Health System. She retired to Marriottsville, Maryland, in September 2021.

Sister Anne Marie was instrumental in the foundation of Cristo Rey Richmond High School.

Sister Anne Marie is survived by her Bon Secours sisters; siblings Margaret Roach (James), Martin Mack (Florence) and Joan Mack; as well as many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Martin Mack and Regina Curry Mack; siblings Michael Mack, John Mack, James Mack, and Regina Harris; and nephew Trooper Martin Mack.
