Biking for Babies: On July 15, 6:30-8 p.m., the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, Richmond, hosts Biking for Babies, a pro-life organization forming young adults into missionary disciples and raising funds and awareness for pregnancy centers. Emmaus Journey Retreat: The diocesan Office for Evangelization invites parents who have lost a child of any age to attend an Emmaus Journey Retreat on Aug. 2 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Newport News. This one-day retreat gives parents a safe place to seek peace and hope, led by a team of grieving parents, spiritual directors, priests, deacons, and parish leaders. Grief Support: GriefShare offers hope and healing after the death of a loved one. Church of St. Thérèse, Chesapeake, is offering a 13-session Christ-centered grief support program beginning Aug. 6. Pilgrimage on Assumption: The Catholic Golden Age – Our Lady of Peace Chapter in Richmond is sponsoring a pilgrimage to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, Washington, D.C., Aug. 15. We will attend Mass on the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin. This Mass is televised worldwide on EWTN. After Mass is lunch at Park Lane Tavern, Fredericksburg. All ages welcome.
