John Barrett, director of finance, to stay on

In February, the Diocese announced that John Barrett, director of finance, would retire from the Diocese of Richmond effective June 30.

John BarrettSince that time, several key diocesan initiatives have surfaced and/or escalated in their significance. Specifically, these initiatives include the deposit and loan fund being established and implemented, expanding the parish and school auditing program, assisting with a major addition to St. Francis Home in Richmond and assisting with a potential retirement/nursing home to be developed in Blacksburg. Due to the magnitude of these projects, the Diocese has asked Mr. Barrett to remain in position to oversee their successful implementation.
